This is a place that is called “The Narrows.” It is located in California’s Mojave Desert.
The trail was a little too rough for me to continue driving along in my Jeep, so I used my DJI Phantom 4 scout ahead for me.
This is Benson Camp, which is an abandoned mining camp in the El Paso Mountains. Mojave Desert. DJI Phantom 4 image.
This is the remnants of an old airstrip, in the El Paso Mountain Range. The El Paso’s are located in the Mojave Desert.
Local legend had it that famous test-pilot Chuck Yeager used to land here, when he was stationed at Edwards AFB, in order to go hunting.
Today, the old strip is the domain of off-roaders.

Is this evidence of an ancient civilization on Mars? Hardly; this is an off-road trail in the Calico Mountains, that I photographed with my DJI Phantom 4. November, 2017.
Some areas of the desert do remind me of the Martian landscape, though.
